Da’Shaun is a nonbinary abolitionist and community organizer based out of Atlanta, GA. They work as the Lead Organizer of Solutions Not Punishment Collaborative aka SNaP Co. SNaP Co is a Black trans and queer-led collaborative that builds the power of Black trans and queer people to wage and win campaigns that force systematic divestment from the prison industrial complex and investment in the services that support them. Their mission is grounded in their commitment toward ending mass crisis of passive genocide, incarceration, and criminalization of Black trans women, other Black trans and queer people, and the larger Black community. Da’Shaun is now working to complete their forthcoming book, tentatively titled Belly of the Beast, which is set to be published next year.
